Ok guys, I have started to finalize my con and cosplay schedule for March-June of this year!
Roanoke Valley Comicon in Roanoke, VA cosplaying as +Black Cat (Marvel) or Batman Seifuku if my Black Cat doesn't get done in time
Anime Central in Chicago, IL cosplaying as +Dark Brotherhood Mage Robes (Skyrim) with a group, +Black Cat (Marvel), and Galadriel (LotR)
*Animazement in Raleigh, NC cosplaying as Batman Seifuku, +Black Cat (Marvel), +Black Cat Spider-man dress
*Anime Mid Atlantic in Chesapeake, VA cosplaying as +Kida (Disney's Atlantis), Galadriel (LotR), and a surprise or two
*annotates cons that have not been finalized yet, but are being heavily considered
+annotates new cosplay
Since I haven't been cosplaying for about a year, I'm going to have more new cosplays than normal come out in a short amount of time. This is because I'm making up for lost time
Other than the three new ones I have listed here, I'm probably only going to do one or two new cosplays in the rest of 2014, due to monetary restrictions. I will say that one of them is going to be super epic, and I have a group mostly finalized; we just have to all agree on a con to wear it at this summer.
I have a really funny story for you guys. My husband was picking me up food from a fast food join earlier this week, and one of my "fans" recognized him as "Mikomi Chan's husband". Needless to say, he found it both cool and slightly humorous that he's apparently known on the interwebs as my husband, not as his own entity. He told me when he came home, and not going to lie, I laughed my ass off for a good five minutes. I never thought that I would be recognized out of cosplay for my cosplay work (if that makes sense), let alone that my husband would be recognized as my husband from my cosplay work. It really is a small world after all
