I have a lot going on in my life this season, and it's all really amazing! I'm going to update you all with my crazy shenanigans! The most interesting this, I think is that I'm going to be featured on a local TV show to talk about the wonders of cosplay! I'm going to be wearing my finished Nightingale Armor, complete with LED infused Nightingale bow, Skeleton Key, and Nightingale Blade. I can't say anything else about what's going to be on the show, since I want it to be a surprise, but I think it will be a great opportunity to show cosplay in a positive light
I'll definitely post a link on either here, or my Facebook page when the show goes live for anyone who wants to see.
In other news, I'm starting modeling back up with a bang! I did my first Editorial shoot this past weekend, and it went really well! I got to learn new make up techniques while researching the different make up style of Editorial as well as got to learn some things about how to change my poses due to my body being different.
It was really fun overall, and I can't wait to work with the photographer again! The only things that were stressful about the shoot was whether or not my ankle would give out on me. I still am supposed to wear my brace at all times, until my physical therapy is over, but obviously, you can't have an obtrusive brace in the photographs haha. I'm doing a bunch of cosplay and fashion shoots in DC this weekend for Anime USA, so I'll have a bunch of new content to post on here soon enough!
Cosplay commission wise, I still have room for a couple commissions for the rest of the year. I'm working on a Ms. Marvel cosplay for the new reporter, but other than that, I'm open! If you are local to Central Virginia and need a costume, hit me up! I'm trying to get enough commissions, so I can buy an embroidery machine
As far as Print sales are concerned, I'm going to have them up and running after Anime USA, and they will be on a preorder only status. I'm really hoping that this is received well; I've never sold prints before 0_o I wanted to wait a while, since I wanted to get my craftsmanship and photo quality higher than a couple years ago when the idea was first presented to me, and now I'm taking a big leap of faith!
My ankle is coming along good as well. It still is really loosey goosey, and it is also stiiff, swollen, and weak, but it doesn't hurt much anymore, which is really nice
I start up my physical therapy this coming week, so hopefully it goes well, and I get a clean bill of health from the therapist at the end of my treatment.
ANIME USA IS THIS WEEKEND!!! I'm super excited about this! I have my staff accounted for, have all of my precon work done, and I don't have anymore cosplays to make the night before the con BECAUSE I CAN'T WEAR ANY NEW COSPLAYS BECAUSE OF MY ANKLE!!! Gotta look on the brights side of having a broken bone lol. I'm going to be really busy trying to hangout with everyone this weekend, so if you want to see me there, hit me up on my facebook page. It'll be the easiest way to reach me, since I'll have either my smartphone or my laptop on me at all times. Also, please please please, come to my panel Thursday night, I Workout: A Cosplayer's Guide to Physical Fitness at 7pm. This is a topic that I care deeply about, and I want to be able to share my knowledge, so I can help fellow cosplayers live a healthy lifestyle and just be comfortable in their own skin
Well, that's all guys, until next time!
