After shooting a bunch of dark and hardcore Black Canary pictures with

I decided I should get some more pin up looking photos of this cosplay

Katsucon was the perfect place to do this at! I worked with

for the first time at this shoot, and he was wonderful to work with. He humored me on what I wanted to get, AND he was nice and professional (which is just as important as the final images in my book). I really want to work with him again in the future on other projects. I changed some things up this time around with BC; I, in the past, focused more on her badass quality than her actual beauty and sensuality. This translates to I actually spent some time in thought and preparation for her make up lol. I'm normally REALLY lazy with how I do my make up for cosplay; I normally just do it how I would for everyday life, just throw in different colors depending on the character. Well, I actually RESEARCHED how to do pin up make up this time around! I wanted to make sure that I had that 1950s look that a lot of people associate pin up with, and I like the results

Oh, and a side note that I forgot to mention: my hair has been really weird since coming back from the Caribbean this past summer. It got REALLY blonde, but instead of the natural highlights fading like they normally do, they only faded in like 1/3 of my hair. Basically, I was running around with tritonal, natural hair for several months (a lot of people thought it looked cool, but I thought it looked like I was letting my roots grow out or something). So right before Katsucon, I decided to dye my hair a little darker than it's natural blonde to try and get it to even out. Well, it evened out, but it turned out darker than expected lol. That's why I don't have Black Canary's golden blonde hair. It will be going back to it's natural color soon hopefully

****EDIT**** Thank you guys for all of the kind words! It really makes me happy that you guys like the last shoot I was able to do before finding out I am pregnant! It makes me happy that I was "able to go out with a bang"...for the next several months anyways

I can't wait to cosplay Black Canary again after I recover and get back in shape (/^.^)/
